You need to let people know that the event is happening.
If you fail to do this, then only a small number will
turn up, making the event a failure from both a financial
and personal stand point. All events need a considerable
amount of forward planning to allocate resources, funds
and set strict deadlines. Forward planning allows plenty
of time to get the word out to your target market, enabling
you to promote the event effectively.
If the event is to be weekly or monthly event, then
a more long term strategy needs to be taken. If your
regular live music night is failing, at what point do
you consider that the plan has not worked? Put a timescale
together with targets and goals to achieve. Give it
a chance, it won't become a success overnight!
