Stolen Sun were formed in the cold winter of 2003. Hailing from Teesside in the North East of England, they have gone on to electrify stages all over the North East with their infectiously heavy grooves. Fusing elements of Metal, funk Rock and good old fashioned Rock N Roll, Stolen Sun have steadily built up not only a solid following, but a reputation as an intense and virtuosic live act.

The band is made up of Polo (Guitars/Vocals), Gav (Guitars), Alex (Bass) and Rayna (Drums/Percussion). Despite having an average age of 20, every member of the band has been playing on the live circuit for five years or more. The band have a maturity and sound beyond their years, and take pride in their accomplished playing and water-tight performance. A listen to the new EP "Ridin' On" exemplifies how the band have developed into a well oiled machine over the last couple of years.

Stolen Sun always find favour with the young crowds, however their roots stem from the funky rock of the 70's through to the abrasive metal of the 90's. Bands such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath are an influence, though the band also draw more diverse comparisons from critics and fans, from the melodic grind of Alice In Chains to the contagious grooves of Queens Of The Stone Age.

Spawned into an era where trends and fashion dominate the music industry, Stolen Sun stand defiantly against the legions of unoriginal bandwagon jumpers polluting the British music scene. Stolen Sun are all about the music; no bullshit, no gimmicks, just pure unadulterated groove.
